EAQ is an innovative organisation providing experiential, equine assisted learning (EAL) to help people develop their self awareness and self confidence, improve communication within relationships, develop new skills and gain qualifications. There is no riding involved in equine assisted learning and it is available for a wide range of people including:
Children with autism and the families of children with autism Teenagers with ADHD Teenagers excluded from school or those at risk of exclusion Drug and alcohol addiction Offenders and ex-offenders and those at risk of offending Family relationships Young women with eating disorders and body image issues Those with depression Veterans or ex-service personnel with post traumatic stress disorder Corporate team building and leadership
EAQ was the first organisation to link equine assisted learning with nationally recognised qualifications. EAQ is accredited to offer the NOCN Step-Up and Progression Qualifications which are included in the Qualifications Curriculum Framework (QCF) and recognised thoughout the UK.
EAQ also developed the first accredited qualification for equine assisted learning facilitators. The Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator Certificate has been accredited by the Open College Network, South West Region. (OCNSWR) OCNSWR is a member of the National Open College Network (NOCN).
We welcome referrals from Social Services, Mental Health Professionals, the Police, Education Departments, the Armed Forces, Probation, schools, residential children's homes, foster carers, charitable organisations, private individuals, small and medium sized businesses and large corporations.
